Painting has been going on since the beginning of time, in many different forms. In order to paint, all you really need is some kind of binding material that can hold pigments. Their are many different forms of paint that include watercolor, oil, acrylic, Gouache, Tempera, and other experimental paint mediums. Many different cultures have been painting for thousands of years with many different tools. Italian artist Cennino Cennini used rabbit tails and hog bristles to create brushes for which he painted. These days, however, you don’t have to go out and buy traditional painted artwork. You can buy canvas prints from a number of great illustration and art sites. Below you will see some great paintings by Illustrator Olaf Hajek. He has a great style of painting. I love graphic art, but I like to focus on great traditional illustration as well.
