Wood burning, or pyrographics, is the process of burning lines into wood to form patterns or designs. It involves the use a special pen tool with a heated tip to burn the designs into the wood. With the use of different tips you can do everything from deep dark lines to shading light shadows on the wood. I stumbled upon these amazing wood burning illustrations by Eric Swesey, which is what I have decided to showcase today. Swesey is a graphic artist from San Diego, California.
